Emanuela Duca, established in New York City in 2005, epitomizes the fusion of diverse influences and experiences. Inspired by my dual identities as a Roman citizen and a New York-based artist, my jewelry reflects a harmonious blend of ancient textures and modern simplicity. Each piece embodies a balance between earthy, highly textured surfaces reminiscent of volcanic ash and the sleek, minimalist aesthetics born from my New York sensibility. Drawing from my background in sculpting, I craft each design by first sculpting in wax before forging and constructing in sterling silver and 18k gold, a process that allows for a continuous exploration of form and function. This approach infuses my creations with a sense of movement and fluidity, capturing the essence of both strength and vulnerability. In my latest work, I've embraced a newfound openness to new possibilities, infusing radiance and color into my designs while maintaining the signature textured surfaces that define my style.
