MALLARY MARKS

Pure shapes rock. Gold is king(queen). Elemental and sunny. My background is fine art and sculpture, I have a tiny house in a tiny town in southern Italy. I was born in NY and have worked with my hands since a child. For 35 years my pieces have been based around color which resonates pure emotion. The designs represent connections I make between things. Lilypads meet Noguchi. Hinges meet exotic forms. Buoys are inspired by plump little glass earrings I had as a kid. The Pulaski bridge becomes spires and gold mesh turrets. Persian carpets become sapphire chain mail. I love simple things, beautifully crafted, made of exquisite materials.
