Alex has always had a penchant for creativity and flair. California-born and raised in Idaho, she grew up loving the outdoors and loving dance even more. A former hardcore ballet dancer-turned-Denver Broncos Cheerleader, Alex channeled movement in her life as a creative outlet as she pursued a degree in Operations and Management Informations Systems at Santa Clara University. Which eventually launched a career in high-tech sales. Jewelry was something she’d always adorned herself with, but it became something serious as Alex started taking after-hours metalsmithing classes. As her passion grew, Alex found herself more and more consumed with the idea of one day making jewelry on her own. After her son’s first birthday, Alex and her husband had a serious chat and decided to give this passion a real go. Eight months later, Alex and her family moved back to Colorado and she found herself energized and endlessly designing the first collection for Alex Fitz. Since 2018, Alex has been crafting fashion-forward fine jewelry collections made from ethically-sourced stones and designing custom items made for modern wear. As a self-proclaimed “recycling freak”, Alex’s designs will always be made from recycled gold, and operations using sustainability will be at the forefront. Our Mission is simple. We source from suppliers that care about what we do, people, and the environment. Alex Fitz jewelry incorporates recycled 18k gold, and the stones we use come from companies that have confidence in their products being conflict-free.
